The Franchi 912 is a very good gun. It's being discontinued for 2006. They are still making the 712 and 720 gas operated and AL48 long recoil operated guns in addition to the inertia operated I-12. The Stoeger 2000 and Franchi I-12 are both good guns. These twoare the easiest semi autos to clean. The Stoeger is a little lighter and does not quite have the quality ofthe I-12 but, they are close. The I-12 has shims for the stock. I would take either one over an 11-87 any day. They are both lighter, have more features, easier to clean, and balance better for me with more weight towards the stock.

I see the suggested retail on the Franchi O/U is around $1400. Is that what they are selling for?
