Having Trouble Deciding
which shotgun to buy. I own a few Rem 870's and would like to add a semi to my collection. First off I never knew how much more expensive the semi's are. I've looked at a couple of different makes from the Rem 11-87 to the Beneli Super Black Eagle.
My question is do you guys think it is worth the extra money for the Beneli or is the 11-87 just as good? Is there another semi that I should consider?
I've always been partial to theRemington's.

The Rem 11-87 is a fine shotgun. I own some remington 1100's and I love them. I have one 11-87 in 12 gauge and it is a wonderful shotgun. The action is smooth and fast and it has a good balance.

I have an 11-87 premier 3"... my boss has a brand new super black eagle II... best friend has an 1100 and a new winchester SuperX 2.... superX2 is a fine auto, i like it... i wouldn't mind owning one... my 11-87 and the 1100 are more than adequate for me for clays, skeet and hunting... fits me well and is comfortable as is and i am not of large stature.. the 11-87 is smooth as glass and has never failed me and recoil is quite mild, it's a beautiful gun... handles anything i feed it... the Benelli... i donno.. lots of bells and whistles, VERY expensive and honestly... my 11-87 performs just as well when plugged for 3 in the tube for birds... and it cost me half as much...
just a matter of opinion.. handle em all.. see how they feel... shoot as many as you can and then make your decision...
if money is a concern... you won't go wrong with an 870... the express grades are a bit rougher than the wingmasters though but still function pretty well and smoothly... just make sure you give the gun you plan to buy a good going over before you plunk down the cash... don't be afraid to make them get others of the same model out for you to look at... you are the customer...

if u are looking for somthing as good as a benili but dont want to pay the price. go with a stoger m2000. i bought one last year and i bring it every where.i bought one for my wife this year andshe loves it also. some people like em andsome dont. but thats with every gun. the m2000 has that same sweet action the benili has but the gun only cost $400. i have neverhad any problems with it and i have broughtit through swamps, rain, snow, youname it.they are getting extremely popular so popular infactbenili is having a hell of a time selling there own brand semi auto's. i know remington 1187's are not bad guns own one, buti know if you like benili's you will really like the stoger.before you get your mind to set on the remington take a look at them www.stoegerindustries.com, i think you will be suprised at how nice they are. just my 2 cents
good luck. Jeff

There may be some shot guns that are better than a Remington 1100 but I wouldn't know what they would be. If you could find a real good "never been used much" one you would love it. I have had mine for 25 years and have never had a problem with it.
