The best scope rings I have ever used are the Hart rings they make them in 1" & 30mm mount the same as Talleys but are in class of there own, and just as light as Talleys and in matte finnish,www.rwhart.com
They come with shims, torex screws, with a lock tite substance on rings to lock screws solid, 4 screws per ring and they are the truest rings I have ever laped.

Leupold Dual Dovetail, or Quick Release. Good luck.

IMHO Warne are about the best available for under a hundred bucks a set. They use a Weaver style steel base and vertically split steel, powder coated rings. Unlike Leupold, and most other horrizontally split rings, the vertically split Warne rings almost never twist a scope when you tighten them down.

Weaver style bases and rings are known for their incredible strength and durability. Look at all of the tactical bases and rings that LE and the military uses, including those that sit atop the big 50BMG's. They are all Weaver style bases and rings.

I use mostly Weaver also because of the strength...

I have not touched my lapping bar since I purchased my first set of Burris rings.
The offset inserts are very nice for keeping the scope in the center of the adjustment

Bigbulls, I can't say I had ever heard of or seen a set of Warne rings. I looked them up at Midway, and they seem to get good reviews and are reasonably priced.

I'd recommend Leupold's Dual Dovetail rings.
