Both the Browning and the Remington would be great choices. I just have not owned many Winchester bolt guns so I really can't speak for them. I have several 700 Rems and a Browning A-bolt in 308. All shoot under an inch every day with their prefered ammo.

I can vouch for the Winchester M70! Its as good as any of the others you've listed! You can't go wrong with any of them! The 25-06 will be a stronger, flatter shooting caliber, with not much more recoil, andwith heavier bullets too! The .243 with good 100 gr. bullets will take any whitetail size gametoo!If you are not going to use it for varmints too, I'd go with the 25-06! Good luck!
