Look closely big country, those are Wild west Guns ghost ring and fiber optic front sight. You will also see the rings are lever throw quick release. THe scope mainly gets used for hunting when I might want a little more accurately aimed longer ranged shot. THe ghost rings are much quicker and as a cool side bonus the center of the light is pretty close the point of impact, within a few inches at 20 feet. The forward position and fairly light weight of the scope really doesn't throw the balance off as much as you would imagine. The light is hardly noticeable.

one question.........any particular reason for the "rifleman" loop or is it justfor aesthetic value, was wondering if it makes it easier or harder for hunting situations?

Man, I can't believe you are not out in the woods today. I have an excuse, as I got the flu.

THe over sized loop is nicer fora couple of reasons. First it makes if a little more comfortable while shooting the heavy loads, the smaller loop doesn't leave your hand anywhere to go during recoil and can actually be pretty painfull, second it is much nicer for use while wearing gloves and easier to grab quickly. Add to that it just plain looks cool. You can leather wrap theregular lever with leatherand try to file away most of the sharp edges to help with the recoil bite.
