My gosh, I am sitting here laughing on the floor.

Everybody let me explain something about my good buddy Mossy. Mossy has the dream life, dream truck, dream wife. Now Mossy gets to take off almost all of the rut, sometimes a whole month, just to hunt. While in the mean time, his dream wife is bankrolling him. Also dream wife pretty well does most of the child care while mossy gets to enjoy his whole Sunday watching football all day long without interruption. Now, I just scratched the surface. Mossy could go and ask his dream wife anytime and she would let him buy a Vari X III anytime he wanted.

I have a Weaver K 2.5 on my 1895 - works well and didn't cost a bundle either. A lady I know who used to work at Redfield advised me once to stay away from variable power scopes if you can. There is a lot more to go wrong with them.

Big Country - please . . . . Do not covet thy neighbor's wife, thy neighbor's life, or thy neighbor's truck. [8D]

I am quite partial to the luepold 2.5x scout scope. I have a couple of them one on my guide gun and the other on a 9.3x62 mauser. THe heavy post reticle is ideal for a close range rifle like the 45/70. Some people don't care for the scout scope setup but the more I use it the more practical it is.

and gun buying ablility..........geesh you buy more guns, scopes, bows, and reloading stuff in a year than I own period! Didnt last year alone you buy like 7 guns from one guy selling his collection? And then turned around and bought scopes for some of them? No matter how much the wife bank rolls me, she would never let me buy 7 guns at once!!!!
