almost every gun out there shoots better than it needs to to take game at 200 yards,, out past there is when you really need that accuracy

In my experience the bolts do shoot a bit tighter on the average, but my Remington 760 in 30-06 shoots plenty tight out to 200 yards for hunting.

I have a friend who has taken everything on the North American Continent except sheep & grizzlies with his 760. Now he just returned from Africa and used the same gun to take 10 nice trophies up to 800 pounds. All of the African game were one shot kills.

Didn't someone say "beware the man with just one gun"?
