Encore Barrel ?

RE: Encore Barrel ?
I am in a very similiar situation. I am going to buy a barrel for my Encore primarily for whitetail in Kentucky as well!I've narrowed it down to 25-06 or 270. I'vedone some reading in G&Amagizine and things like that and the"experts" like Craig Boddington say that they're ishardly a better round for whitetail than the good ole 270, so I'm kinda leaning toward that.
Let me know what you decide!! And Good luck

i own sevrel encor barrels ,and the calebers i like the best are the ones with rimed brass ,there are just so much more conveint to get the spent brass out of the chamber, you will find with rimles brass that it can be hard to get hold of ,rimed brass will just fall out ween the gun is opened.
however not meney calibers to chouse from in the over the counter varity, a custom barrel is not that much more witch opens up a wide varity to chose from like the 3030,7-30waters,307,375 win 375JDJ,444marlin ,all of witch are quit adquit to down a deer
