8mm/Tom,
Which is better for recoil will depend on you and varies from person to person according to body type. Unless you are willing to buy used (my favorite), then the market may have already decided for you, i.e. American --- most places no longer carry the European/Lux/Hogback model.
BTW, I'd go with the heavier rifle and the heavier 375H&H, a timeless classic, not saying the 9.3 is not a classic, but the 375H&H is THE classic in the ball park we're talking about here.
The best new prices I know of are thru "TON80" at the CZ Connection in Georgia. Just go to Gunbroker.com and search for "CZ and 375" and you'll find him. If he has more than one, then ask him to pull the factory targets and get the one with the tightest group --- you gotta ask though.
Good Luck.

Thank you ELKampMaster,
The lead on the Georgia outfit sounds like it may save me a couple dollars while getting a pick of the litter. Pretty important to me when I buy something brand spanking new and of higher than average quality. I am leaning towards the .375, but was a little intrigued (at first) when I saw the numbers for the effectiveness of the 9.3 X 62 compared to it's recoil table. But then I saw the weight of the gun and realized I would be trading into a possble trade-off instead of a trade-up.
My next homework assignments are to find some shooters at my gun club who own a .375 and ask to purchasesome ammo for US to shootand ask for some pointers on managing the medium bores. I'm not recoil shy by lets say I'm inexperienced at the heavier hitters.
I am looking forward to this!

I have decided that either the .375 H & H or the 9.3 X 62 would serve me well.
That said it's still not a .375 H&H.....and never will be. The .375 H&H is king of the big game rifles and while on the short end is still widely accepted as adequate for elephants and rhino and cape buffalo. I has bullet offerings five times as many as the .366 caliber and is available in far more locations on the planet.
It's popularity and versatility are so immense that it seems to not have any peers at all. It's one great cartridge. A little more than needed in the Northern Americas but is still the king.
