Default Browning A-Bolt Trigger Problem

I have a Browning A-Bolt Hunter in a 7mm WSM. I love everything about the gun but the trigger. The trigger seems to hang up right before it breaks - not smooth at all. As a result I tend to jerk the trigger from time to time causing me to pull shoots down and right. I've heard that Browning has an adjustable trigger. Is that true and if so is it easy to change out or should I have a gunsmith do it?

Thanks,
Peter

Default RE: Browning A-Bolt Trigger Problem

Browning trigers are the least adjustable of any of them.

There is a screw that you can access by removing the bottom metal. It is behind the trigger on the bottom. Even when this is adjusted as light as it will go it still does not provide a great trigger. Outside of the screw all you can do is replace the spring with a lighter one.

There is no overtravel or take up adjustments that can be made.
