T/C Contender value
I'm looking at a Contender in .44 mag with a .223 barrel that goes with it.
Frame is about 95%, .44 barrel is 98% and .223 is about 75%(some rust and pitting in a couple of areas.)
What is it worth?
Thanks!

RE: T/C Contender value
Around here, a clean frame and one barrel will run you $300-350 with additional barrels in the $150 range depending on condition. With the .223 barrel being pitted, I'd see if he would split it up and sell you just the frame and 44mag barrel. If you want a .223 barrel, they can be picked up in excellent shape for 150-175 bucks. If he's willing to split it up, offer $300 for it and see how he reacts. Another bargaining tool to drop on him is, now that the newer G2 isavailable, the older Contenders are not as "wanted" as they used to be. just a thought. Good luck and let us know whatyou came up with.

RE: T/C Contender value
The guy wants $525 for the Contender with .44 and .223 barrels.
I took in a 9mm Beretta with extra clips and leather. It is 99% and has not had a box thru it. He offered me $400 for the 9mm in trade for the T/C.
I said no thank you.
Ebay has barrels for $50-150.
Thanks for your help.
