RE: 325 WSM vs. 350 Rem Mag
Hi USMC:
Of your choices, I would take the .350, in what I assume is a Rem 673. I am thinking about getting one of those myself. I might have bought overthe weekend at the SPORTSMANS WAREHOUSE in Loveland, CO if thekid behind the counter would have helped me instead of pining over his (apparent) ex-girlfirend. However, if I had any choice, hunting those bears, moose and elk in close cover SCREAMS fora Guide Gun in .45-70.
Good luck

RE: 325 WSM vs. 350 Rem Mag
What do you mean close cover, under 100 yds, under 200 yds?
I hunt alot of dense timber where shots are going to be anywhere from feet to 100 yds.For this I use a 450 Marlin with factory Hornady bullets and a straight 4x scope.
If I'm anticipating anything over that my .338 win mag gets the call,or any of my .300's.
The only thiny the .350 mag gives up to he .325 is trajectory,if you are going to have shots from 0-400 yds I would go with the .325,but if you are shooting 0-250 I would grab the .350 RM.
The other thing is the lack of premium loads(factory) for the .350,the .325 on the other hand is new and will have a 200gr Accubon bullet. So if you are a hand loader it will not be a problem.

RE: 325 WSM vs. 350 Rem Mag
I hope the 350 RM meets my expectations. I received a "Limited Run" Ruger M-77 "All Weather" yesterday in 350 RM.A couple years ago I sold a Remington 660 in 350RM.Supposedly the 350 is a good hard hitting cartridge.I never fired that 660.I know factory 350 is pricey.I had the dies, loaded factory ammo etc.. Sold all of it with the Remmy. Now I get to do it all over again.A friend has a Remington.(Model?) new production in the 350 RM. Nice looking rifle with a colorful laminated stock. He seems to like it.He shot it while I was at the range. It appears to rock ya pretty good when you touch it off.

I have a remington model 7 custom KS in .350 rem mag. Mine has a 20" barrel and it can drive a 225 nosler partition at 2680 fps. Not too many mammals I know of can survive long after one of those rips through !

RE: 325 WSM vs. 350 Rem Mag
I find that my 350 Rem. Mag kicks about the same as my 7 mm Rem. Mag did if not a little more. I guess it all depends on how the rifle fits the individual. I would think that the 325 WSM would have more kick but then I’ve never shot one so I’m not sure. For long distance shots I would go with the 325 WSM but if it’s at close range the 350 Rem. Mag would do the job just fine. When hunting and the game comes into play , the recoil of either is not a problem but at the range that’s another story.
