Rifle/shotgun slings

RE: Rifle/shotgun slings
While I agree they do help in toting all day. I don't use them, not really pratical where I hunt, in the bush...I end up holding it anyway on my way to and from the stand. I don't know anybody who use them, that doesn't take them off when on stand or in a blind...just to help in the carrying aspect.
The one thing I don't like is some people seem to forget they have a muzzle up their and bend down to tie a boot or whatever and the gun is pointed in a unsafe manner. I had a buddy who always knocked the safety off when unshouldering...I finally took it away before something happened. Safety First, than comfort in my books.

i really never use them on my guns. cause it seems everytime i shouldered my shotgun/rifles i buck or deer would come out of the wood work.
but two of mine now have them. i have a horse hari and a uncle mike's military style nylon sling.
