Go with the 25-06.
The 6mmRem. and/or the 243Win. are essentially varmint cartridges which can be used for deer, but shouldn't as there are far better choices out there - including the 25-06.

The 25-06 (and 270Win.) is one of the finest long range antelope/deer rounds available. And, it's not too much for the larger varieties of varmints either (chucks & coyotes).
Much better selection of rifles available to choose from in 25-06 also (vs. 6mmRem.).
And, if you're limited to factory ammo, again the 25-06 has far more choices available.

25.06
Virginia7 stated it quite correct. The 25.06 is far superior on deer sized game & with lighter bullet weights it shoots much faster & flatter for varmitts. Yes it is slightly more costly to shoot & kicks a little harder (not much) but for a one gun set-up it is the best choice of the two.
A 25.06 Ruger was my first rifle over 20 years ago & still is my go to rifle for deer sized game & smaller.

Best Wishes

I got a 25-05 for the wider supply of bullet weight, and velocity that i can get, it seemed more versatile, even though i have made some impressive kills on deer!

Nothing shoots flatter than the .243 using 55gr balistic tips.

.25-06 for up to Deer because of the heavier bullets which can be used and there is enough power for Deer and the lesser weight bullets can be used for Varmints.

I personally would use the 24 caliber's strickly for Varmint.

I bet the 30-06 with a 55gr bullet shoots as flat orflatter than the .243. I would go with the 25-06 if I was goingto choose between the two. The .260 would be an excellent choice also.
