I bet the 30-06 with a 55gr bullet shoots as flat orflatter than the .243.
so how much do you want to bet ? LOL
nope the -06 gets beat too.

Nothing shoots flatter than the .243 using 55gr balistic tips.
Check your ballistic tables. There are many rounds that shoot flatter than the .243. 220 swift or 22-250 with 40 g. bullets for example.

The 25.06 is far superior on deer sized game & with lighter bullet weights it shoots much faster & flatter for varmitts.

the 6mm/.416 rigby loudenboomer does, spits a 80 grain 6mm bullet around 4,000 fps

ummm the 30-06 accelerators push a 55 grain bullet around 4,080 fps your 243 with a 55 grain bullet pushes around 3,800 fps. you do the math

yep zrex is the guy that went to alaska and killed a 1000 lbs kodiak with his 243.......... him and his 243 is kinda like a fungis at first its irritating but after awhile he begins to grow on ya, anymore its quite entertaining and quite funny to read his BS posts about the 243.

I don't have my loading books with me but I bet the 50 BMG pushing a 750gr bullet is flatter than a .243. It will also kill an animal a mile away. The recoil is about the same as a .243 also. Can the .243 kill an animal a mile away? I don't think so.

you are probable right , but I wasnt talking about cannons LOL !
The ballistics show the 55 gr bullet out of the .243 to have 27 inches of drop @ 500yds with a 200yds zero, no the 220 swift cant do that no the 22-250 cant do that nor the -06 accelerator. but the .243wssm wins with the same bullet it has 25 inches of drop.

My little Sako in .243 drops deer very fast. It's easy to carry (light) and shoots good.
