That's one big 338. For me it's just too much of a good thing. Personally I would never be able to use the extra power it provides over a 338 Win Mag.

The only down side that I can think of is the cost of ammo and the extra recoil. Since neither are an issue for you I would BUY IT.

Well, I think I'm gonna go for it. Gonna tell him tomorow to go ahead and take it off the shelf for me.

Should be one heck of a rifle for these alabama bucks.

Big Bulls,
My brother-in-law bought one last year and I shot a few times and I LOVED IT.

I realy considered getting one,if I could find a good used Stainless/Laminated in RH I would buy it.

It's true what EKM said, once you use it on elk, well it's like realy good sex, can't get enough of it(never realy had bad though).

If it's not for you give me PM I will pick it up from ya.

ORIGINAL: bigbulls

What do you guys think?

At the shop we have a gently used Remington 338 ultra mag stainless BDL in an HS Precision stock with Leupold rings and bases on it. Being in Alabama no one wants to buy it. It has been sitting there for quite a long time so the owner will let me have it for what he has in it, which is about $550, just to get rid of it.

Should I put this gun away and pay on it? I'd really like to have a 338 of some configuration and my birthday is coming up on the 10th of July. I really don't need to spend that much money but I'm thinking this just might be too good to pass up.

Talk me out of it.[8D]
Where is this store at??? cause if you don't get it i will and northglend isn't that far away from where i live!!!!! so get it be4 i do

I don't live in Northglenn any more. I now live in Alabama[:'(].

I'm just too lazy to change my profile and memorize another password.[8D][8D][8D]
