HOW WAS YOUR FIRST DAY OF TROUT PA.
how was everyones opening day of trout here in PA. I had a great day caught my limit by 8:30 i was amazed all nice eating fish to in the 10-15 inch range i was very pleased, i am going out tomorrow to look for some more for the freezer. How did you all fair?

It was the best opening day I've had in a long time. I took my 7 yr old daughter with me and met a bunch of others with their kids. They all were hammering the fish in a nice slow moving hole. She and I had a great time. Most fish were over 10 inches and we through back the smaller ones. I snuck out Sunday morning by myself and caught 7 in 2 hours. My daughter was pissed I left her behind, She's hooked.

We had a good first day as usual, caught atleast 50 among the 4 of us. I was lucky enough to catch 3 paliminos'. The stockies seemed to be larger this year, lots of 10-13" trout.

went to a stocked steam and caught 6 from 6-9 inches and decided that i could catch natives that big and went to my honey hole and landed 4 nice natives before i had to go to baseball. it is sad when the natives your catching are the same size if not bigger then the stocked trout.

i had a slower day then usual , only landed 15 , but they were all 8-14 inches , peanuts in my book , for the more money we pay for licenses , we should have bigger trout , also some places i would like to see them make catch and release tho , so we can have fish all year to catch!

i've been having good luck the last couple of days however they are still all small except for 1 or 2 nice 17-18 inchers. and i have been catching a lot more fish out of a pond using my new setup. what i do is put a #14 treble hook 1ft-1'6'' under a float with power bait and then a minnow down around 5 ft on a #12 treble. they don't seem to hit hard in the ponds for me
