I like mine with a split shot about 6" up. A "fresh" waterdog is fiesty little dickens that'll run around everything. A split shot kinda guides it more where to go. I flip them much like a jig, close range, be careful not to beat them up too badly. A good dawg will last 10-15 minutes and you can put them in a livewell to "refreshen" and they can be fished later if they don't die.

Data, I found an e-mail address for a guy who said he had thousands of waterdogs for sale but it was posted last june. I would still give it a try, if he had that many last year he's probably a dealer and would have more again this year. I'll pm you the address.

Data would those be Krispy Kremes? We don't have them in Vt and I just got down to New Orleans for a little vac time and had one for the first time this am. MMMM..MMM good. Bourbon Street here I come.
