Default Give me some leads here....walleyes

My buddy wants to take a trip this spring up into Ontario or Quebec for some serious walleye fishing. Anyone know of places or have personnal dealings with any of these places. Don't really want to haul a bunch of food and all that. Looking for a full service deal, boats, cabins, food and anything else that's nice.

Dave, why go to Quebec? There is some of the best walleye fishing in the world in Lake Erie.I have caught several over 8 lbs and have seen them caught over 10 lbs regularly.I know that their country is beautiful and so serene though.I like to go up that way for northern pike.I'm not sure on a good walleye lake up that way.I went to a place called Camps Ronoda that was very reasonable and the early season is supposed to be good for walleye as the breed near there.Their link is www.campsronoda.com

This web site may help.

http://www.ontariooutofdoors.com/

Check the Classifieds - Lodge Listings sections. You may also find other sections interesting.
Most lodges list links to there own web sites.

Best Wishes

Well, we picked a place. We'll let you know when we get back. They have two websites so take your pick.[&:]

David,if this is the same place my father went a couple years ago ,then you should have a great time.I will ask him about lady evelyn lake, the name really sounds familiar though.
He goes on about 2-3 fly in fishing trips a year for walleye.Maybe he can point you in the direction you are looking,or is your mind already set on this lake?

This isn't really a necessary fly in. You can drive to a ramp on the lake and they come and pick you up with a boat to take you to the island. I talked to a guy from the Eastern Shore of Maryland yesterday(one of his referrals) He's been going for 6 years. Says the service alone will bring you back. Said it's lake fishing and not to be confused with fishing a spawn in a river. They do catch fish and some occasional real big ones.
