kshunter,

Those are some great cats. I haven't found a place like the one you mentioned in alot of years. One time though my buddy and I found a beautiful hole way "up in the back" of a limestone stream. It was chalk full of native browns....really beautiful.

I've got a few of those "honey holes." Native brookies and browns way up a branch of a stocked stream, but no stockies can get up there....they can't jump up a 12' waterfall! It's all mine too!

I don't know how big the secret is, but Lake Village State park in eastern Arkansas. Twin 80 acre lakes, stocked with Florida strain fish, slot limit applies and theose lakes are choked with timber and they are 50 feet deep in spots. Fantasticly beautiful area - part of the Crowleys Ridge fault line, huge white oak groves and steep hollers.

Oh yeah, biggest bass was 15 1/2 pounds outta there, and we have taken an 11 lb 5 oz, a 10 pounder last year, several 7's and many 6's - the bass are there, but a tough, tough darn lake to fish. Fun though

My buddy and I were bowfishing in a small creek and found a ton of panfish. We went back and caught and released over 100 sunnies and crappies, including some real nice ones.
