Hey folks..I'm new at this ..What size thread should I buy for wrapping a spinning guide?

Ok ..I saw a site do this..they are wrapping various colors tether at one time..wow..I"d like to be able to do that

The smaller the thread the lighter the rod. I wrap with A thread, the smallest diameter. I began wrapping with C thread I think, much easier to work with.

I saw some nice kits on eBay I plan to get..what kind of ..kote do you use on your wraps?

I use envirotex, which is the exact same mixtures is the coating used by rod building companies, it is just not pushed as a "rod building" coating.

It is important that it is a quality 2-part epoxy, although much be flexible to absorb the bend of the blank.

Thanks buck...I watched a rod building video..they were using Prokote...same concept..epoxy

Envirotex is the Hardware store version of Prokote, at a much cheaper price.

hey Chuck bunch of vid's on youtube, and "mudhole" has a lot of instrutional video's

but be fore warned, rod builing is very addicting
