Has anyone ever fished Hammersley Fork (5.2 miles)in Potter County Pa? If so, how did you do, and is it a nice stream? If you don't want to give up info on a public forum, you can PM me.This is what I'm always hunting.

RE: Pa Native Brookies
My goodness...Hammersly Fork brings back fond memories.......
A few years ago a buddy of mine and I backpacked into the headwaters and spent a few days chasing gobblers in the mornings and fishing for trout in the afternoons...
It is a beautiful stream, and besides nativebrookies it holds a good population of gorgeous wild brown trout...
Early season some people hike up from where it crosses the highway south of Cross Fork and camp along the stream to fish it, but I don't think it gets a lot of pressure after the first couple weeks of season...Even early season it doesn't get hammered like nearby stocked waters, such as Kettle Creek, which it flows into... You'll like Hammersly..
There are some other gems in the area too...You might want to drive east to the next drainage and try Shingle Branch of Young Woman's Creek...It's also a nice , remote, brookie stream...
