Catfish/Carp bait question.
For a long time I' ve seen those bags of doug balls that are labeled as catfish and carp baits. They' re in flavors of blood and liver and shad, made by Berkely (Powerbaits). I was thinking of trying some this year and was wondering what kind of results you' ns have had with ' em. Are they worth trying or a waste? Gracias.

corn is hard to beat for carp it seems around here.....and channel cats chicken liver works good...flatheads usually need live bait..all depends waht cat your fishing for.....i dont like dough stuff much either...channel cats hit some of it but somes a waste of money and time....liver will get them all...

RE: Catfish/Carp bait question.
hey man...I tried the berkley dough balls in blood flavor, and I caught several decent-pretty good sized catfish on them. I think the smallest one was about 3lbs, maybe 16-17 inches long. I guess it all depends on where you are fishing. My aunt uses crow and chicken liver as well as skwerl guts, and she' s pretty successful at it.
