FORCE boat motors???
Hey everyone, does anyone know y FORCE MOTORS r so cheap compared to Mercury. I was just at a marine center and i can buy a 1996 40hp Force motor (tiller) for only $1,250. Or r they just junk?? Also, i heard that they weigh a quite a bit more than regular motors, is that true??
Thanx

RE: FORCE boat motors???
Force (Chrysler) motors are OEM for the less expensive boats, ie. Bayliner etc.
You need to realize the motor you looked at is 6 years old. I've got a 50 horse on a 14 bowrider and it does ok.
Do a compresiion check on any engine you intend to buy. It'll tell you if it was abused or not.
