Default Early spring catfish

I am planning on doing some catfish fishing on my local river, the wabash, and wanted to know if anyone else is planning or has been fishing the river for channels and blues. I am no pro at this and am trying to learn as much as I can about the locations to fish rivers this early in the year. If there is anyone who has some experience in doing this and is willing to give me an idea of where I should start please do, thanks! I usually wait for the warmer months but this year I am loosing my mind just sitting here and playing with my rods and reels. I dont think I can rearange anything else in my tackle boxes.
