Do you tie your own? That will still cost you but it is cheaper and when you start catching fish off something you made it will sure give you a great feeling..
No ,,I don't tie,I bought all the stuff and never have tied one fly,,I keep thinking I'll learn one of these days,,untill then I'll just keep paying 1.75 for my favorite rs2 and wd-40 in brown or gray in size #20,,,#22

Well the way i see it you should add a few more catergorys to the contest. Steelhead, Bull trout, and lake trout, cause they all get big and are targeted by many anglers. I say leave the "other" catergory for the smaller "other" trout for example golden trout and tiger trout.

But hell either way im in!

You really think so? LOL Sure it costs to get started but once you have the materials you can tie several at a very cheap price when you compare to buyiong them. LOL I will say some feathers can get costly when tying streamer flies. But, then again I can tie flies designed to catch fish not people..

Yes!! that would be awesome! You could break it down like mentioned before. Into sub categories of the different kind of trout, wouldnt be bad at all... Count me in.

Hmmm, would it be unfair for someone who is fishing Alaska then? I just know that when I have trout fished up there you throw back the 5lbs rainbows and don't get excited until you are over 10lbs....just doesn't seem to fit in with a big 5lber in the lower 48.
