that bass was "caught" last year, and was weighed in at 25.1 pounds. It wasnt eligible for a world record because it was foul hooked outside of the mouth.

That was another big bass out of California you are thinking about. The guys that are catching these big bass fish for a specific bass that they can see in the clear water. Some of them camp out in line and the boat ramps to be first in line when the lakes open up or pay someone to let them fish a certain hole if someone else is there first.

Josh- the bass you are talking about was 25 lbs but you are right it was foul hooked. Definetly a different fish then the one originally posted.

Here is last years 25lbs bass:

its been confirmed by both guys who caught it that it was indeed the same bass, just a few years and pounds apart.

That's cool. I didn't remember hearing about that. It is amazing that you can tell that it is the same fish only a few years older!!!

Was it micro-chipped when they first released it? Either way it is still a big hog tho..

Def. a bruiser! I don't see what the big deal is about foul hooking and reeling one it. People don't say you didn't kill that deer b/c you missed the heart/lungs & gut shot it and had to track it 2 mi. before finding it
