I took a fellow teacher with me..He caught 23 himself. We only threw back two 8 inchers..the rest were between 9 and 11 1/2 inchers. It was my best bluegill fishing ever . I tried some out this evening. The fillets were mite and worm free and very good eatting. I'm going back Sat. morning with Matt.
have a nice evening Phil

Not blue gills but we had a blast catching these crappies, this is the biggest one I have ever caught. We caught alot of thirteen inchers but this one was fifteen. We were using ultra light rods with 4lb test and pinky jigs. They all went back in the water too. We don't have alot of crappies in this lake that size. We do have alot of 10 inch males and those are the ones we will keep if we need a mess of fish.
