Default My personal best bass fishing day.

nothing over 43/4 pounds {Almost 5 }but I boated 26 today.
i tried out my Team Diawa...I'm hooked ..what a rod.

My lure today was Gambler ribbon tailed 6 inch
color..Christmas Tree.

God is wonderful..it was one of the best days of my life. No other fishiermen in this area. When I checked back in, the lady at the desk said..all the other 30 boats had struck out. Some days at this management area we have to fill out a creel sheet. We did today. Many of mine were over 18 inches.Sorry about the picture..it's hard taking one of yourself. Below is the honey hole..

God bless,
C7

Chuck, these are recommended with the Gambler "Ribbon Tails", were you using them?

Hey reb,
No sir...I use a very light bullet sinker..1/8th ounce , then I peg with a tooth pick.
I had about 45 hits today...It was unreal. I started with red shad Zoom but I like the way the Gamblers fish in hydrilla. I can send you detailed directions if you would like. Since you have a Florida management stamp...you fish for free. if you call in you can reserve a boat spot in advance. I was th eonly bass boat in that spot all day. There was one more boat fishing for bluegills. Man..sure was fun. These particuliar pits were just opened last summer. There are 8 new pits/ lakes.

Note the little canal in the upper right hand picture of the honey hole..that canel is only 30 yds long.then it opens up into 64 acres..So this is just a small 1 acre pond away from the rest of the lake.

Great day of fishing Chuck and you should be proud. Nice picture even if taken one handed.

Thanks partner..

I tied on one of those new chatter baits...one tiny hit..I said shoot..I'm just going to pitch and cast..

Very first cast...bang..and that was it...action jackson the entire morning.
I tried other worms and jigs and literaaly watched fish spit them out. When they picked up the pre scented Gamblers they hung on.
I'm stocked up pretty good.

Here's a quote I found..
"Gambler Worms are clear favorites in Florida and the Deep South where tournaments are routinely won using them."
