My personal best bass fishing day.

RE: My personal best bass fishing day.
Thanks Dan and Keith,
I actually expereimented yesterday. I started out with that new chatter bait..nothing
I tried a jig ....one grabbed it and spit it out.
So I pitched a worm and had a shiner on a bobber behind the boat. If I would have boated every hit I would have had over 50 . I ended up boating 20 off of the Gambler worm and only 6 using wild shiners. I didn't lose anything serious. I had a few flop off right at the boat..Once I had doubles. I made a long cast and was playing a 3 pounder when SLAM!, my shiner rod reel is almost leaving the boat. I grabbed that one at the same time setting the hook hard. So here I am fighting 2 nice fish at the same time...it was a blast.
Lesson learned...I don't need to buy any more shiners...artificials are just fine..and this area is heavily fished. If you seriously pitch covering every square foot..you will catch fish. This picture covers nearly the entire pit which is off the lake. I simply pitched this pit 5 times ..including casting into the middle. Note that grass looking stuff on the side. It's actually laying on 5 feet of water . The bass are underneath. Toss the worm just on the edge and let her swim down...BAM!! and sing will go your drag. I literaly flip/ pitchevery 30 inches. I was shocked at some of the places I found bass.

RE: My personal best bass fishing day.
My personal best day of fishing for bass has to be around 75 bass at a strip pit here in Indiana. I caught one bass a little over four pounds and another close to 8,"got him mounted on my wall". My friend also caught a nice bass just over five pounds. It was a real windy day in April and We where useing rattle traps. But we have had many days almost just as good and probably better quantity wise. There are not many times that we have went out and caught less then 20 bass.
