I don't have much for bass. I fish mostly for smallmouth, but sometimes largemouth too.

Panter Martins work surprisingly well

Then I like smaller 1/2 oz or so spinner baits of different colors

And broken back rapalas of different varieties work well too

Later,

Marcial

1. 7" black Berkely Power Worm, texas rigged on a 3 o hook
2. Weedless topwater frog
3. Spinnerbait.

The black worm has been my go to for a long time and I always catch fish with it. I buy them by the 100 pack.

That 7" Berkley is a real killer! I use them alot in stained water.
Believe it or not I've caught a ton of Stripers and Sea Trout on that Black worm.Never travel without them.

coyote could it be a fluke???? and yes they are deadly, but man fishing them is a challenge for me[&o], i like the heavy stuff i can feel
Yep, that's it. It is a little hard to get used to, not being able to feel much of it and working it soooooo sloooowww, but after seeing what it'll do on farm ponds, a guy learns to adjust pretty quick, ya know?

That very same lure is very popular here in NY's Finger lakes for vertical jigging for lake trout...Most guys fish it on a 3/4 oz. or 1 oz jighead...Simply drop it to the bottom in anywhere from 50 to 150 FOW and work it slowly up and down...Lakers, including fish weighing in the double digits climb all over it some days..

Josh..I beleive you may have something on the big worms. I know of a man who fishes where I do and catches huge bass. He uses big worms and admits," I may only get 2 hits all morning; I drift in deep water..but those 2 hits will produce real big bass." He's caught many over 10 pounds.

Heddon floating frog plug or what ever its called. Its a top water lure that I love. Whats really fun is using it to catch Northern Pike because its like a bass on steriods and crack all rolled into one slimey package.

you'd be surprised just how many keeper bass (2 - 5 lbs) will hit a 12" worm.
