Abu Garcia Cardinal Series

RE: Abu Garcia Cardinal Series
OK ..I have the Abu 101 and Abu 103 .The 101 is on my light rod. I throw 3/8 ounce Rooster tails with my 103. Very nice reels so far. I've only had them about 1 year. Hi speed retrieve and these will turn the Rooster Tail blades easily. The bearings in them are tight and smooth. They are both nice but my favorite is the 101 for light tackle.Long cast and confident hi speed retrieve. Great price too. Both are under 30.00 a piece. Walmart carries these reels.

if all you can spend is 30 than the cardinal series is your best bet. the cardinal combos are good deal also, the stick is a little whimpy but it is a good deal if you need to buy a rod also.Mitchell advocet is also a descent reel for under $30. Just to throw something out there pflueger has baitcasting trion combo out. they are priced @ $80 everywhere i have seen them and come in a variety of rods, from crankbait rods to a heavier worm rod. I know your not trying to spend very much money, i just thought it might be something to save for if you really like the pflueger.

I have a Cardinal C300U and a C304, the C300U is my on my 5' 6" UL action quantum extralite graphite series rod which is my panfish and trout setup.
The C304 is on my 6'6" medium action Quantum Torsion rod which is my spinning setup for bass I use it mostly for weightless plastics like throwing a wacky worm or plastic jerk bait. Its also my favored rod for 1/4 oz to 3/8 oz rooster tails, the setup will literally cast a 3/8 oz roostertail everybit of 60 yards talk about covering alot of water.
To sum it up for ya you absolutely cannot beat the quality of these reals especially the price, if you compare these reels to anything similar from a different brand you could easily spend 60 to 100 bucks.
