Back from Devils Lake.
My wife and I fished Devils Lake ND on Thursday. It was a tough day. We caught two fish all day until 6 pm. At that point they really started to hit and we caught 18 more before 7 pm. All walleyes. The biggest was 27 inches and the smallest about 16 inches.
I don,t think that there is a better Walleye fishery in North America with the possible exception of Lake Erie which is not easy for the average guy to fish. There are tousands of acres of floodid timbet just tie your boat off to a tree and vertical jig through the branches. You loose a few jigs but it is a deadly tactic all season long. This was my third trip up there this year. October and May are the best times for trophy Walleye, White Bass and Northern Pike.
