I caught it in my lake which is a spring fed lake, no rivers or creeks feeding it just a small pond basiclly, ive caught quiet a few of these and im not quiet sure what kind it is. I also managed to catch a channel cat in it last night as well which I found to be odd but im curious what is this? Thanks, sean

I'd say bullhead. I don't know what type(yellow, brown, or black), but it looks like a bullhead to me.

Face is differant than the brown bullhead we have here. The barbels look longer than the fish we catch. I vote for yellow bullhead. Either way it needs to be skinned and pan fried right away...Yum

yellow bullhead, locally known as a mud cat. cut the yellow stripe of fat off along the backbone before frying and they taste as good as all the rest! no limit on them here, so get to eat all we catch with shiners on yo-yos. they are in all the river lakes here in central arkansas.

Its a bullhead of some kind. The colors can vary a lot with envirnment. I catch quite a few of them and except for the hottest time of summer, they are mighty fine fried up crisp.

I think its a brown bull head. After yall said it was a bull head I looked into them and we have both species, Ive caught yellow bullheads which we call "butter cats" and the catfish I posted is a little different then butter cats so I believe its a brown bullhead. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
