Default M O N S T E R crappie

This is a BLACK crappie. You don't see them this big. My son caught it today. I swore he had a nice bass on the line until he reeled it up to the boat.

14 1/4" long and 1.5# It's going on the wall.

Nice catch there farmcntry. I'd be proud of the fisherman as well as the fish. The mount will be a great reminder of the quality time you've spent with your son. As for the fisherman, Congratulations young man. I know your dad is proud.

That's a mighty fine Crappie anywhere in USA and a huge bonus the little guy caught him. He'll be tellin that fish story for many a year.

Have pic of my daughter at age 4-5 with her 1st fish - a Crappie. It weren't that big.

Don't I wish. It has to be 16" here in NC.
But I don't think that's fair because they don't separate the white and black crappie. I can see the white crappie getting a lot bigger, but for a black crappie, I don't think you could beat this one easily.
Oh well back to the fishing hole.
I hope he get's one bigger this year.
(Wait what am I thinking, those are expensive to mount.)[>:]
