I like the big bores... BUT that 600NE will slap the snot out of you with a 14# rifle... aint no way I'd touch off one of those things in a hand gun...

Man, I've shot some handcannons, but thats one I'd have to pass on. I like my wrists just the way they are and there's just something about a hammer imbedded in my forehead that just turns me off.lol

Talk about a handheld earthquake. Rifles chambered in 600NE weigh 16 pounds plus. I read somewhere that a professional Ivory Hunter once stated that a single shot to the head would take an Elephant off it's feet.

Wow what a cannon. It sounds like one of those guns the tiger hunters carried when they were riding on the elephants. I think it was called a Howdha gun or something like that!

Hello again jrbsr,
Elephant hunter, Mr. Bell killed over 1000 elephants, with one head shot using 7x57mauser and 6.5mm swed.
It is not how big the gun, but the placement. Only Mr. BELL had the BAGELS , NO one recommands to try that. Have you ever
trird the 6.5 swed for penetration? See how many WET catalogs sanwiched with 2x6s will it penetrate.
Its bullet { BC} and wieght that has knock down penetration, but hey, everyone has his or hers opinion.....Right?
GO GET-UM PARTNER!!!

I gues I will stick to my S&W model 19 in 357 mag

For that kinda dough I can get a 4X4 truck a bass boat and several new guns and ammo.
