Bushnell 3200 FireFly scope
hi. i have been looking for a certain scope, and i have found a couple of them, but dont know which one to choose from. So i need a scope with an optional illuminated reticle, and Bushnell has one just like this, but wanted to see if ne one had any other suggestions for me. because i really dont want to pay a A@@ load of money for a scope.

The bushnell 3200, IMO, represents one of the absolute best values in a scope today. For what they cost you will be very hard pressed to find a better quality scope. If you are on a limited budget for a scope this would be your best bet at a getting one that will last you a lifetime.

I just put this scope on my 30-06 a couple months ago. It is very clear and I don't think I could have gone for a better scope for the money. The illuminated reticle is very bright and is great in low light.
I would definitely recommend this scope.

I recently tested a scope by Mueller. The company apparently aquires high quality scope components from around the world, then assembles the parts. Jap. optics, German lense coating process, steel on steel windage and elivation adjustments, etched glass reticle with a small dot in the center that is illuminated. I compaired with Leupold and Burris, the clarity and light transmission were as good or even better. New company just starting out and has great reviews, check it out:

I've got a Bushnell 3200 with Firefly reticle and Rainguard coating. For the money it's a pretty nice scope, but it's certainly not in the same league as some of my other scopes. I used it last year on a few hunts and I thought it's low light performance was pretty abysmal. The Firefly reticle is of no use if you can't see the game.

Firefly to me is gimmicky but if you think you'll need then that is up to you to decide. I agree with Solitary Man, it's performance in tough low light isn't the best but for the money it is pretty darn good scope. The fact you want a illuminated reticle means to me you plan to shoot close or in dark conditions. If so then I think you'd be better off finding a scope with higher optical returns in way of coatings/lens quality vs a green crosshair and no detail. Now if using during legal hunting times of 1/2 hour before and 1/2 after then it should be fine. In this case I wouldn't want to be charging a reticle by way of flashlight and the firefly would serve no real purpose.
