Favorite WSM?

RE: Favorite WSM?
Well I already had a .270 Winchester, I have never been a huge fan of the 7mm so I got a 300WSM. Had Winchester come out with a 338WSM I would have gone with that but it wasn't and still isn't available.
Mine was intended primarily for elk but it will be used alternately wth other rifles for everything I hunt.

My wife just bought me a 270 wsm for my birthday. I'll let you know how it handles antelope and deer. I'm curious to see how it lends itself to prairie dogging. My brother's 270 is deadly in that arena with 90-gr hp's if kept under 3000 fps, but I think I need to stick to 110's. I'll keep you posted.

I have both in browning stalker and love them both, both shoot better than I can.Took one deer with the 270 last year to try it out, will probably do the same this year with the 300,but usually use a 260 or 7/08 for deer.
Just got the 300 2 weeks ago so haven't shot it past 100 yds yet.but it gave some tight groups @100 so far.
Tried some 110 gr v-max in the 270 and they were awesome using r-19

Having had experience with both 300 wsm and 7 wsm . I like the reduced recoil of the 7 WSM and the fact you can shoot heavier bullets then the 270 wsms. The 270 WSM is too close to the 270 Win in comparable barrel lengths
