Default Elftmann AR 15 Trigger

Purchased their 3-gun trigger at a gun show because the stock trigger in my Colt LE6920 is terrible.Too stiff and too much creep for me.

I installed it soon after the purchase. The trigger would not reset unless I turned the safety on then off or pulled the charging handle.

I called Elf and left a message because the only person able to answer my questions was away due to a death in the family. Phone call never returned. I called a few more times only to get a voicemail recording. Due to past experience, I figured leaving a message was pointless. After several months of having a single shot AR, I finally got through to a person at ELF. She said she would have someone call. Art Elftmann called and asked me how many shots were on the new trigger. Not many. So, he asked me to run at least 40 rounds through it to see if it would break in. He said if that doesn't work to send it in. Gave me his cell number and told me to text "trigger" if I still had issues and he would respond immediately.

I shot the rounds one at a time and no help. I shipped the trigger to them. Art called me a week or so later and said the trigger is fine. He is sending it back. He then told me that I needed to tighten the set screws on the side of the trigger. They are installed with lock tight and take a significant amount of pressure to get moving out of their original position. He could tell they were never moved from factory setting. He said if it doesn't work, send it back and he will replace it.

That was the issue. The set screws were so tight, I dared not put the needed pressure to start them moving. The instructions were clear about tightening the screws. But, they were not clear about the lock tight issue. I ended up needing a pair of pliers to help twist the allen wrench. Trigger works great !!

Putting this out there for anyone who purchases one of these. Maybe I can save someone unnecessary stress.
