Phoenix arms 22 slide split after firing !!!!!
I went out to shoot my 22 cal. Phoenix Arms semi auto pistal yesterday .
While shooting at a target I noticed the sound of my last shot was completley different from the others .
I looked at the pistol and imedietly noticed the slide was split in 2 pieces on the right side .
Also there was a live round in the chamber and a jammed empty in the slide .
I couldnt believe it .
Kinda makes me a little trigger shy now .
I called Phoenix Arms and they originaly said to mail the slide for a replacement then later said send in the whole gun for inspection .
I,m justg a little nervous abought mailimg a pistol thats on my licences in the mail .
Any thoughts ??

You get what you pay for. Well actually with Phoenix you get less than what you pay for.
My advice is use itfor one of those gun turn in programs and get yourself apair of sneakers, whatever gift certificate they offer or whatever. Or just mail it to them and tell them to keep it.
And chalk it up to a lesson learned. Atleast no one got hurt.
Phoenix is junk.

Send it off to get fixed, then NEVER FIRE IT AGAIN!!! Then pray that a local jurisdiction has a gun buy back, and then take it in. Use the money from the buy-back to buy a quality handgun. Phoenix Arms are in the same dubious category as Bryco and Jiminez Arms. They are pot metal guns not even worth the $100-150 that they sell for. They are compete junk, and being junk that fires a high pressure cartridge, they are DANGEROUS junk. Do yourself a favor and get a quality pistol. They may cost some money, but you get what you pay for.

Amen driftrider, you hit the nail on the head! What a piece of #%$&@. They make a good boat anchor.hehehe
About sending that thing off for repair... just ups it, insure it for MORE than you paid for it,by quite a margin.
UPS will want you to state what is in the box, tell them a HANDGUN. This is important. Handguns can only be shipped next day air within the UPS system. It willcost you a great deal more to ship next daybut it is much, much safer.
If lost or stolen, all you have to do is call your local state police and make a report. ATF may call you for particulars, but probably not. No harm to your license.
New .22 autoloader. Browning Buckmark, Ruger MK3, Smith and Wesson model 22A, CZ Kadet, Walther P22/SP22, Kimber 1911 style, SIG mosquito, Beretta Neos U22 and the Phoenix Arms....[:-] hehehe Just kiddin'
Hope this helps. lol

I,d like to get a new 40 cal pisto; but not sure right now ?
I did shoot my Rugar single six .
Quite a different grip and much smoother trigger .
The Rugar shoots 100 times better groups than the crappy Phoenix did .
I hope they give me a new gun , I,ll sell it iether way ...
