RE: CZ rifle
Well, I don't have the 550, but I do have the 450 American in .22 and if the other rifles that CZ makes are as good as their .22's, I'd get one in a heartbeat! It's how a rifle is supposed to be made.

RE: CZ rifle
For the price, I think they are pretty decent. There is a LGS closeby me and there they run about $575.00 or so. I do like the SS trigger, but at about 8 lbs. they seem a bit heavy. Be sure to check wood to metal fit. Some I've seen were rather poor while others were quite good. The wood seems average (which is o.k.) and the barrels were decent. Shootability wise I'd say good (MOA doable) ...with the right ammo. You could do alot worse for sure.

RE: CZ rifle
I have never owned a CZ, but I have always heard good stuf about them. A friend of mine owns a gunshop in Cali, and he sold a lot of them. IMO the ones that I played with were pretty solid, and well balanced. I didn't find them to be too heavy either. The guys I know that have them tell me that they are great guns for the price. Not too expensive, but reliable.
If you like it, it fits well, and you like the balance when you shoulder it, then get it.
The reality is this, unless you are going to be a competitive shooter, that extra 1/4 to 3/4 inch of accuracy is really not likely to matter, unless you are shooting out over 500 yds.
MY ADVICE: buy it

RE: CZ rifle
Cz rifles are well made and have a reputation on the forumsfor excellent accuracy...I can't remember anyone ever saying that they owned one that didn't produce good groups...
I have a 550 American in 9.3 x 62 and it shoots like a varmint rifle...I get sub MOA groups with 250 grainBarnes X bullets.....My buddy has a 452 in .17 HMR and that is a tack driver also...
