I don't have the Model Seven but I had the one of the 600 series which preceded it. It was a nice little rifle to carry. A little stiff on recoil with heavy loads though.

Afew weeks ago a young fellow had one in 308 at the range,it had the new trigger.the barrel looked pretty short,think it was 20 in.
He was telling me that the trigger was stiff so I checked it and it was over 6 lbs.I adjusted it for him and he let me shot a 3 shot group.He was shooting factory cor-locs and they shot better than I thought they would in it,2 in one hole and 1 allmost touching at 100 yds.So I would say the rifle will shoot good.
