Default Need your knowledge!!

Hey all,

For my high school graduation, my father is going to buy me a new .22 that ive wanted for a while. Im just not fond of the ruger 10/22, the stock is too fat.
But anyways, I had my sights on the savage mark 11 bv, but they dont make it in a left handed model. So Im looking at the Mark 11-G. Does anyone own one or ever shot one that can tell me how they are, specially in a left handed model. For the money i think savages shoot very well.
Thanks

Hey all,

I bought that rifle last Fall, and it's become, much as I hate to slight my centerfires, my favorite rifle. Handles well, mounts well, crazy accurate, & the AccuTrigger is superb. At the range, I'll burn up to 3 boxes of ammo per trip in spurts while I'm waiting for my .30-'06 to cool.

In fact, I was so impressed by that rifle, that I just ordered a 11FHNS in 7mm-08. I've heretofore been a Remington guy, but I chose the model 11 over a 700 SPS, in large part because of the AccuTrigger. Oh, there's also the matter of so many people raving about Savage accuracy.

I may well end up buying a SPS, too, but I've seen enough from my Mark II that I wanted to give a Savage centerfire a try.

My advice would be to go for the left-handed model you're looking at, & not look back!

Keep us posted,

FC

I would agree with you that Savage makes a nice LH rifle. However for not much more money you can get a LH-CZ452. That CZ is a really nice rifle also. At least give it a look. Tom.

TEN times the rifle?? Well, that might be getting a little careless with the truth.

I have the Mark II in the left hand version. Blued, wood stock. Its a neat little rifle and shoots very well. Not quite as good as my Savage 91-17HMR but it holds it own.
