Default Hearing protection

What do you use? What do you suggest and/or not suggest? Are the electronic hearing devices worth the extra money? Thanks for your input!

Have to admit I've never used the electronic muffs. I'd like to give them a try sometime. What I generally use is the little foam roll-up earplugs with a standard set of ear protector muffs. Seems to work O.K. for me.....

I have two different ones, one is a Smith and Wesson brand and the other is a Remington. Not sure who makes them for the companies but they are the standard kind ear muffs.

I have had Lee Sonics since the 60's. They are made of soft prosthetic rubber and fit in the ear. Theyhave valves that shut at the clap of the hands. Back then they were $35 and now other companies make them and sellfor $100 and $150. Here are some I found for $95.

Earinc/Insta-Mold - Sonic Valve II

i have a set of caldwell electronic muffs which work pretty well and ive got a few pairs of regular muffs. remington makes the highest rated regular muffs to my knowledge at 31db. i also have a set with liquid filled ear cups or something liek that. dont remeber exactly what the box called them but they seem to work well also.

I use the Remington R2000 electronic muffs, I really like them. I have also used the Peltor tactical muffs and I like those even more. Next purchase, SportEAR.
