I am leaning towards the Browning, because of all the same things mentioned in the previous post. If I could find one of the Big Five made by Winchester in 2002 or the Alaska made in 1982 I would go with those, but the money is 2-5x the new Browning brought out at the shot show.

your kidding right. most model 70-s will be choice. im glad mine went to africa with me. plenty of quality and now even more prized because there aint none to be had.

You didn't read my post correctly. Not bashing the 70 at all. Just saying they just never clicked with me fit wise, and that is totally subjective and has nothing to do with quality.

One of the previous post said Kimber so I took a look. I have a Kimber .45 and love it. Kimbe makes the the Super America in .338 and for around $2000.00 you basically get a custom gun that would cost alot more if outfitted the same way. Any opinions out there?
