Usually, there isVERY little price difference between a Ruger M-77 stn/syn and a Savage 16 Weather Warrior?????
Also, don't forgetRuger includesscope rings with all their rifles! This alone will save youeven more! When you look at the whole picture I bet you can buy the Ruger for the same price as the Savage....or less!

My rugers sucked hind end, I couldn't wait to ditch both M77's i owned. The 10/22 is the only rugerI like and would reccomend. Different strokes for different folks though!

Most competion shooters I know woudn't take 2 Rems for 1 Savage. After my gunsmith explained the differences on how they are made I said no more Rems. However I have been hearing that the REM is planning on some quaality improvements so they can compete. One is the adjustable trigger that they are offering on most rifles this year. if you don't like the accutrigger go with a drop in adjustable and if you don't like the sythenic stock there are plenty more to chose from. Savage and CZ make the best for the money in my opinion.

I have the savage classic 30-06 and really like it. Like most people say, shoulder it and see how it feels. Don't go off other people.. your spenting the money buy what you like.
OPINIONS are good.. but it all comes down to you...
