Are there any inexpensive factory loads out there in say 140gr. The lowest price I can find anywhere is right at $20 per box.
I haven't bought or even looked at any Remington ammo is YEARS, but I really figurred that Corelok ammo was less than $20.

I had to edit my post. I just looked in MidwayUSA, and there is some ammo for 7mm08 that is at or slightly below $20/box. I do, however, doubt that you will go in your local gunstore and find any, but good luck.

I buy my Rem Core Locks for my 7mm-08 for about two dollars more than my 06 ammo. It usually runs around 18.00 at cabelas.

I'm getting 140 gr Winchester power points here in Ky for $16.99 a box. Federal has just come out with the 140 gr TSX. They all seem to be sticking with the 140 gr bullet for now

I buy all my ammo for my 7mm-08 at local gun stores, or a wal-mart, and most all of it has been under 20.00 a box. The only time it is higher is getting premium bullet loading, or buying some Hornady light mag ammo.

God Bless

Although the 243is still the highest selling calibre in Australia, the 7mm-08 is quickly gaining in popularity. I understand that the 7mm-08 is the highest selling calibre in New Zealand.

A few of my mateshunt with the 7mm-08 and from field and range experience I'm very impressed with the overall performance of this neat round. If I didn't have a 243 and 30-06, I would definitely have a 7mm-08.
