model 12 or 10 in savage?

Default model 12 or 10 in savage?

as some of you know im looking at getting a savage. well i went to a dealer and saw two of them and wondered is there really much difference between the model Model 12fv and the model Model 10FP? the dealer has them at a 200 dollar difference and i didnt see anything different in them.. is one more acurate or what. and is it really worth the extra money? also does any one have any of these. if so what do u think.thanks jeff

how much are you guys paying for MODEL 10.. I WAS QUOTED 700 FOR IT AND 549 FOR THE MODEL 12. IS THAT HIGH?

I would think that is high because that's right with the manufacturers suggested retail. I haven't priced them in real life...but generally MSR is much than real life price. I know one online character got the model 10 for "about 500".

I would find another dealer, if for no other reason than to check prices in your area. Also, if you plan to do any hunting I'd get the model 12, that tactical gun is gonna get real heavy real fast in the feild and both with be more than accurate.

thanks i went to another gun store and found the model 10 for a hundred less and the model 12 for 125 less..i think i am going with the 12 just because of the weight.

I purchased the model 110FP in 25-06 and love it!Paid $490 purchased a Bell and Carlson stock and got rid of the black plastic one.
