Bad experience-Elk Ridge/4scopes.com
I purchased a couple of scopes from Elk Ridge through their 4scopes.com website. The scopes did arrive and were ok, my problem arised a couple of weeks later. It seems that they had authorised my card twice for the scopes, tying up money in my account and causing an overdraft (the scopes were around $450). When I called them they said that it wasnt their fault, their computer had a problem when they were sending the charges in, so they sent them twice. Its not a huge deal, but I'm out $64 in overdraft charges because of their error. Had they even admitted it was a problem on their end I probably would have let it go. But to be told that the problem is with my banks policies and that I should pursue it with them really sucks imho. I would NOT recomend anyone do business with them. -chad

Thanks pb,
One of my daughters wanted to buy a scope for me
(I love those girls) and this is one of the web sites I
told her to check out. She did'nt like something about
it and so steered clear. Sorry to hear about your deal.
"It's not our fault, it's the computer" is just lame.
God bless

That's just plain BS! [:@]...and borders criminal intent in my opinion.
Go to http://www.bbbonline.org/consumer/complaint.asp and lodge a formal complaint.
...also if you feel it warrants it,try http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/
It'll get their attention!
