Default How's about......

OK so I'm competent and confident with both firearm and bow. I've taken a few animals, but I never had the blessing of a mentor to teach me anything about the outdoors. Aside from a thread strickly devoted to woods skills that apply directly to the taking of game, hows about a sort of woodsmanship skills for dummies thread so I can gain some knowledge about the great outdoors and feel a little more confident and not so out of my element in the woods

I agree I moved to Wisconsin from Kansas and I have a lot to learn about the woods, I have learned one thing since being here dont go in the woods during summer with out your pants covered in diesel fuel or the ticks will have a party on ya! I have never seen ticks so bad until I got here!

No scratching matches on pants covered in diesel fuel for sure, Its also good to know that you dont throw rocks at hornets nests. Another one dont use poison ivy or sumac to wipe your rear end.
